Paul Litwin, the previous editor of Smart Access, has recently had two books published that will be of interest to Access developers. Intranet & Web Databases For Dummies (ISBN: 0-7645-0221-2 Price: $29.99 U.S.) is for anyone who wants to take existing data in Windows databases and publish it on a corporate, organization, or small business intranet or the World Wide Web. This book shows you how to use Microsoft Access, SQL Server, Visual InterDev, Internet Information Server, the Internet Database Connector, and Active Server Pages to rid yourself of stagnant, boring, and out-of-date Web pages. Among other things, the book shows how to publish Access and SQL Server data to your corporate, organization, or small business intranet, or the Web. Specific tools covered include Access's Publish to the Web Wizard and the SQL Server Web Assistant.

Paul has also published VBA For Dummies, Quick Reference (ISBN: 0-7645-0250-6 Price: $14.99) which probably belongs on the desk of every Access programmer. VBA For Dummies Quick Reference is for beginning to advanced VBA programmers who want to look up details on using the VBA language quickly while creating applications. In this book, you'll find a comprehensive keyword reference, a quick reference for the VBA-integrated development environment (IDE), and object model diagrams for the Microsoft Office programs. The book features tasks and commands in alphabetical order, clear-cut samples, and easy-to-follow advice. Get in and get out quickly and find the information you really need without reading lots of extra material! Both are from IDG books.
